While the project name is self explanatory, the main idea was to diffuse light and project it to the ceiling. To accomplish that, the lamp has the upper part open and the main body printed with a single layer of white PLA. The first version has a 3W RGB LED with a custom designed PWM circuit and PCB, an UFO-shaped LED cover placed in a manually crafted aluminum heatsink that seems it's floating but actually is placed above two small printed towers, with the power supply housed within the base of the lamp.
Now that I analyze the design in the distance I have to admit that is excessively handcrafted and can be accomplished with a lot less effort, all the nuts can be removed for example. Nevertheless it has its magic.
I also made a version with a 3W white LED and without the PWM circuit.
